Since we opened in 1995 we've made talented and motivated people the lifeblood of Maverick and in return we've provided a great supportive environment for ambitious and creative people to get unique opportunities and develop their careers. As Maverick's work develops further into exciting new places, particularly in the games industry, we have lots of openings for us to start bringing more new people with the knowledge, fresh thinking, creativity and skills that can help us grow and become the World’s best video games trailer makers - which is our company Mission.
This month we're launching a scheme called the Maverick New Talent Programme and are seeking out Candidates to apply. It involves us giving people a unique hands-on learning experience across a range of areas of our business - particularly New Business / Marketing, Creative/Production and Media Technologies and in return give their ideas, energy, enthusiasm, hard work and input onto both our client and internal projects - oh and they also get paid £17,000 p.a. pro rata while on the Programme.
The Programme will consist of a series of between one and three 3 month “Modules” that Candidates move through - each designed to give the Candidate the opportunity to develop new skills demonstrate their particular talents and enthusiasms. While the Programme does not guarantee employment to all that get accepted on it, Maverick will make available as many job opportunities as possible to Candidates and if there are no immediate openings it will certainly build future relationships for both parties.
We're looking for the best applicants - individuals who are self-starting, ambitious, confident and who have already achieved stand-out within a related creative/media/business/techology area and who show potential for management, leadership, great creative skills and more. So if you think you have these kinds of skills, (particularly in the areas of creative, media production, project management, sales and games generally), and if you have the energy and determination to step up, work hard and "make it happen" then we'd be interested in hearing from you.
We've already taken our first Candidate, Rebecca Gower, who is working on her first Placement and will be posting a piece later this month outlining her experiences.
The deadline for applications for our Quarter 1 Programme is 6th Jan 2011 with Interviews planned for w/c 17th Jan.
